With the full support of our anchor sponsor FNB, the 2020 cycle tour will be hosted on the fabulous Rovos Rail train once again. Our previous two tours on this moving six-star hotel have been among our most successful. And this year will be no different.
The tour is scheduled to take place on 22 – 26 October 2020 and will involve three days of cycling and four nights aboard Rovos Rail.

The Change a Life Merchants
MTB Tour 2020 has been cancelled
Having thought long and hard about the events unfolding globally and in our own country, and having consulted with our generous sponsor Merchants and our committed hosts, York Timbers, we have most reluctantly decided to cancel the 2020 Merchants Change a Life MTB Tour.
The decision to cancel the 2020 MTB tour has been taken with the health and welfare of our cyclists and the support team in mind, and in the context of the rapidly changing environment we find ourselves faced with as a consequence of the spread of the Covid 19 virus. However what has not changed is the status of our athletes who are part of Martin Dreyer’s running academy and for whom we raise funds through the MTB tour. Fortunately Merchants is committed to supporting the running academy and has given its assurances us that the academy will continue to flourish, notwithstanding the cancellation of this year’s MTB tour.
We look forward to presenting this very special tour once more in 2021. Watch this space!
