A HUGE thank you to and your team for giving me the opportunity to participate in this year’s tour! The event was flawlessly and meticulously organised, and it was a real privilege to be able to enjoy the Nambian countryside with all of the logistical support just miraculously taken care of. Every day presented new challenges and fantastic surprises! But I guess the highlight has to be getting to know you and the rest of the cycling team – what a fantastic bunch of people. I have built many new relationships that I will treasure for a very long time. All of this in aid of a really worthwhile cause.

The Change a Life Wild West Tour 2011

The 2011 Cycle tour was an exciting adventure with plenty of thrills and spills, and the odd surprise, along the way. It would more than live up to our participants expectations of another great challenge; this time in the rugged terrain of Namibia, with its majestic sand dunes, deserted beaches and star-studded skies. A true Wild West Adventure! Our cyclists needed to be in top form for the gruelling trek through the Namib Desert.

Cycling Day One was a comfortable 125 km ride from Windhoek heading westwards into the desert, easing us in to a grueling 201 km cycle through the desert to Swakopmund for Day Two, with a 20 km hill on the way, but nothing too much to fret about or so the Route Master told us! Day Three was a 112 km long, routing through Walvis Bay and our last proper cycling day as Day Four was an Amazing Race where we really got a chance to truly test your mettle!
