The Change a Life Vive la France Tour 2018
One of the best-kept secrets of international cycling, the Pyrenees form a natural border with Spain, reaching a height of 3 404 metres at the peak of Aneto, and extending 490 kilometres from the Bay of Biscay to the Mediterranean Sea. Think 150 kilometres of cycling each day along spectacular, undulating routes, through rural villages offering quintessential French culture and cuisine.
The Change a Life Cycle tour funds beneficiary projects that have a direct impact on thousands of disadvantaged young South Africans and an indirect impact on many more in their broader communities which represent the poorest of the poor in South Africa.
We have made a long-term commitment to three projects that focus on sport and education to empower their young beneficiaries. These are the Martin Dreyer Change a Life Academy, Nemato Change a Life and the Allan Thomson Change a Life Karate-do. These projects have a track record of making a significant impact on the lives of their beneficiaries and we believe they can achieve even more.
Using sport as a vehicle of empowerment has proved to be a successful model for Change a Life and many of our young beneficiaries have gone on to win major national sporting events – or even represent South Africa internationally – in canoeing, rowing and gymnastics.
The projects are:

Nemato Change a Life
